Casey Moser, CSW
Therapist
- C-PTSD (complex/developmental trauma)
- Anxiety
- Relationship Patterns
My job as your therapist is to take the tools, approaches, and resources I've learned, both with other clients and in my own life, and fit them to you. Each session is shaped around your goals, your struggles, and what you need most right now. I'm trained to help you find what's standing between you and the things you want most in life. Below, I have answered a few questions so you can get to know me.
Meet Casey
A short introduction from Casey is being filmed.
Why I Became a Therapist
Therapy made a real difference for me as a teenager, and that planted the seed. What's kept me here is how well this work fits the way my brain already works. I love getting to know people deeply, learning how the brain works and why we do what we do, and the insight that comes from understanding ourselves better. It's what I think about in my free time anyway. Each new client feels like opening a new book, and I love that.
What I Bring to This Work
I'm always reading or listening to something, so I bring a wide range of tools, strategies, and perspectives into the room. They come from books and podcasts, from my own personal work, and from what I've learned alongside other clients. My foundation is NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model), a less widely known approach to relational and developmental trauma. Instead of trying to “fix” you, I hold space for you to get to know yourself more deeply, and I trust that your brain and body know how to heal when given room to. From there, I draw on EMDR, ACT, CBT, DBT, ERP for OCD, attachment-focused work, and body-based (somatic) practices, depending on what you need. I also love using the Enneagram as a way to get curious about your patterns.
Who I Work Best With
Adults who want to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of complicated childhoods and relationships, and build a life they feel proud of. That often looks like anxiety, people-pleasing, OCD, or trouble trusting yourself, patterns that started early and show up now as something else entirely. Teens who need a space to work through feelings and situations that feel tricky or overwhelming. Together we'll build coping skills and make room for the whole wild range of emotions the teen years bring, while working toward a life they're happy with. With both groups, what matters most is wanting to understand what's underneath a pattern, not just manage it.
What a Session With Me Looks Like
It depends on you. Some sessions focus on calming your nervous system. Others might mean working through trauma with EMDR, getting clear on what matters most to you, practicing a concrete skill, or simply giving your mind room to go where it needs to go. What stays the same is my curiosity about you, checking in on what's weighing on you most, and keeping us pointed toward the reasons you came to therapy in the first place.
What I Think Creates Change
Many of my clients find the biggest shifts come from having space, and some guidance, to connect with their inner selves and treat what they're going through with more compassion. Therapy gives you a consistent place to be honest with another person about what's hard. Over time, that honesty can help you feel more alive and grounded, whatever that looks like for you.
If You Are Not Sure About Starting
That's completely okay, and very normal. There are a lot of therapists out there, each with a different personality and way of working. Even if one session with me turns out to be a starting point that helps you find the right fit, that's worth it, because you've taken the next step. We can go one session at a time, and my goal will always be what's best for you.
Outside of Work
I'm a people-loving creative and an avid reader who loves a good book club. You might find me gathering friends for a spiritual watercoloring brunch, taking my daughters to the park, or tackling endless laundry while listening to an audiobook that makes me cry (the best kind, in my opinion). I find a lot of joy in my relationships, in bringing creative ideas to life, and in feeling all the human things. I'm human too.
