A Therapist for Highland Families, Ten Minutes up the Road.
One office, in Alpine. For most of Highland that is a shorter trip than the school run.
The Drive, Honestly
North on Alpine Highway, which is SR-74, and you are there in five to ten minutes depending on where in Highland you start and what the lights do. From the Lone Peak end it is barely a trip at all.
We say this first because distance is the thing that quietly ends most courses of therapy in Utah County. A forty minute run each way at the exact hour of pickup is the appointment people stop booking around week nine, and no amount of goodwill survives it. From Highland that is simply not the problem, which means the decision in front of you is about the therapy rather than the logistics.
Where Highland Families Are Coming From
Most Highland teenagers we would see are at Lone Peak High School, which sits in Highland. If your child is there, the office is a short hop from the school rather than a cross-county expedition, which makes a standing weekly appointment realistic instead of aspirational.
We are not a school service and we have no arrangement with any school. If a counselor or an administrator needs to be part of the picture, that happens with your written consent and on your terms, not automatically.
What Video Changes for You
Less than it does for families further south, and it is still worth knowing about. A session by video from your own house removes the handover between school and dinner entirely, and some teenagers say more from their own room than in an unfamiliar office. It works anywhere in Utah — but not outside it, because a therapist has to be licensed in the state where you are physically sitting.
